VOOR EEN AANTAL DEELNEMENDE LANDEN HEBBEN WE ONDERDAK NODIG!

Wij zijn daarom ook ijverig op zoek naar verenigingen die bereid zijn om één van de deelnemende landen binnen hun vereniging onder te brengen. Het is de bedoeling dat een vereniging die een land toegewezen heeft gekregen een aantal gastgezinnen zoekt waar minimaal twee spelers of begeleiders tijdens dit toernooi kunnen verblijven.

Er zijn dus maximaal tien gastgezinnen per land nodig! U voorziet ze van eten en drinken en een slaapplaats. Mits het team geen eigen vervoer heeft moeten de deelnemers van, en naar de sporthal in Leek gebracht worden door de gastgezinnen. Om de gastverenigingen/gezinnen ook maximaal bij het toernooi te betrekken zoeken we twee hostesses met een minimale leeftijd van 14 jaar! Zij zullen gedurende het hele toernooi de spelers van het land begeleiden. Mocht je als vereniging al eens eerder een land onderdak hebben verleend, dan mag dit natuurlijk als voorkeur opgegeven worden.

Een reden om je hier als vereniging voor in te zetten is:

We zetten de korfbalsport, in het Noorden, weer eens goed op de kaart door het organiseren van een wereld- jeugdtoernooi! En we brengen hierdoor de sport in de publieke aandacht. Daarnaast is het een ongelovige, maar zeker bijzondere ervaring, hoe men elkaar respecteert en ervaring uitwisselt over sport, school, werk, familie en gewoontes uit een ander land. Een toernooi waarin vriendschap hoge ogen gooit en de herinneringen hier aan nooit meer zal worden vergeten!

Mocht er binnen uw vereniging belangstelling zijn willen wij wel een avond organiseren om meerdere toelichting te geven .

Wij vernemen graag voor eind februari!(via mail of op onderstaand adres) of er binnen jullie vereniging belangstelling is. Wij hopen op jullie inzet en samenwerking om van dit evenement wederom een succes te maken .

For the first day, the 16 teams will battle for rankings in four pools, playing three games each. On the last day teams after semi-finals will play their last game to determine their final placing in the tournament. Winners of 2011 tournament were the Netherlands, followed by Belgium.

The drawing of lots resulted in the following groupings:

Group A: Chinese Taipei, Catalonia, Romania and China;

Group B: Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic and Serbia;

Group C: England, Hungary, Russia and Belarus;

Group D: Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and JTT North.

The semi-official world cup korfball for juniors under 19, the U19JWC, will once again take place in Leek at Easter. The three local clubs are combining all their forces to make this event a success just like in 2010. Two head sponsors recently signed contracts with the Korfball Support Leek Foundation. These are MW Bedrijfskleding (professional clothing and costumes) and Unive Noord-Nederland.

The U19 JWC will see the strongest junior teams from around the world compete. Over 100 volunteers are needed to successfully organise the three day tournament that starts on Good Friday. The Thursday night before the tournament the offical opening will take place in the Topsporthal in Leek. Some 3,000 to 4,000 spectators are expected to wtiness some wonderful korfball in a great atmosphere.

This past week the draw under supervision of the KNKV, represented by Geert Keuning and Jacob Jonker, took place of the no less than 16 competing teams. China, Serbia and Belarus are participating for the first time in the World Cup in Leek. The draw was carried out by Martijn Buitenhuis on behalf of head sponsor MW Bedrijfskleding and Harry Weitering for head sponsor Unive.

Buitenhuis and Weitering created a draw where current champions The Netherlands, Germany, Portugal and the JTT North are all-in one poule. Of special note was the draw for poule A where Cinese Taipei, the revelation of the tournament two years ago, was combined with China, Romania and Catalonia.

There is no lack of enthusiasme in the organisers as the website clearly shows!

The deadline is closed and the tournament is full. For the first time in the history of the Junior World Cup Under 19, 16 participants: 15 countries and JTT North, inaugurate the tournament Thursday, April 5 2012 during the spectacular opening.

The next days, 6th - 8th of April, the successful three-day tournament will be held in the Topsporthal and sports center of Leek.
