'Cosiness' was the theme of the festivities on Saturday evening, a typical Dutch word.
After a day filled with spectacular games, all players, volunteers and host families were treated to a great dinner buffet. The first guests arriving, had dressed up for the occasion, ready to enjoy an evening of fraternization in a typical Dutch surrounding.
In a room upstairs invitees enjoyed a short presentation, after which a bowling competition was started |

Excitement all around during the game Belgium-England. The English stood strongly, causing problems to the Belgium team during the first half. After half time however the English female players failed to score, and Belgium could take matters into their own hands and win. All players of the Belgian team have played an equal amount of games and so they all have earned their positions in the national team. |

Northern Talents beat Chinese Taipei.
This headline would be a real sensation if it concerned a regular game on the tournament schedule. However, both talent teams participate hors concours, so the team of Chinese Taipei could consider this game a practice match.
The Czech team seems in need of new impulses, while in earlier years their results during the u19jwc were outstanding. The German team keeps on showing that they are a rising star among the other korfball countries.
The shot clock in the second hall broke down just minutes before the end of the game. The game was stopped and continued in hall 1. During these remaining minutes the Czech team failed to score.
Hungary and Poland were worthy opponents, at the end Poland decided the match in their favor 11-13. |
